Auto-complete Labels in Google Bookmarks
Hopefully, this can be answered in this forum, even though It involves Google Bookmarks. I started using Google Bookmarks recently. When I would add something, it would auto- complete the Labels I already had set up. Then, a few days ago it did not auto-complete the Label name. And when I would type the Label name, it would create another Label with the same name. So each time I go to bookmark something in a specific category (Label) it keeps creating new ones. Having multiple labels of "financial," for instance, is just not useful. I've checked various browser options such as "history" and etc but everything is as it was when it was working. I would appreciate any advice. .

I have this problem too and have noticed in within the last 7 days.
I have links to 3 separate threads on this issue:
http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/26502/google-bookmarks-label-autocomplete-not-working (closed for some reason without answers?)
(This is ‘Chromium’ website/forum, the official open-source project behind Google Chrome)
& from my own google bookmarks I went to help area and this is the closest thing I could find to a submission page for bookmarks problems (now it says for google ‘toolbar’ problems but I submitted through this form anyway)
http://support.google.com/toolbar/bin/request.py?contact_type=contact_policy
I suggest as many people as possible submit to this so google are aware
I also show an example screenshot of 'add to bookmarks' facility and the label field which is broken - no longer suggests or auto-completes from your previously created bookmarks
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Lots of good info. However, when I tried to email the problem to google from your link, the last field asks what version of google i'm using. Since i'm using firefox rather than chrome, I have no google version. And it won't submit with this field blank.
I did discover a semi-solution to at least avoid having multiple categories:
1) Add the desired site to Google Bookmarks. .
2) When the google screen pops up, DO NOT put anything in the Label field.
3) Click on "Add Bookmark"
4) Open Google Bookmarks. If you're "sortng by date" the new site will be on top.
5) Click Edit
6) Type in the "Label" field, the label you already have created. (type it exactly like
your existing Label, including upper or lower case letters.)
7) It will be added to the proper Label
8) Click "Save"
It still doesn't auto-complete, but at least you can add it to your existing Label/Category.
I guess I could d/l Chrome in order to submit the problem, but hopefully they'll correct it soon anyway.
Hi rastev, thank you for your solution & yes that it a working solution...
...but can be slightly tiresome, particularly if you have a lot of labels or lengthy labels names as I do!
'Thanks for your reply. Lots of good info. However, when I tried to email the problem to google from your link, the last field asks what version of google I’m using. Since I’m using Firefox rather than chrome, I have no google version. And it won't submit with this field blank.'
I would re look at the link I gave you, you do not need to be using Chrome to submit the query & by the way the issue is a Google one & exists on all browsers to my knowledge.
& you will need a gmail/google account in order to submit the query. Its easy to create one: either a new gmail account or simply using your 3rd party email address to create a google account, use this:
https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?hl=en&continue=http://www.google.co.uk/
Also the option you referring to where you submit your browser is a drop down and does have various options for browsers including versions of: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.
Link again to submit complaint about the bookmarks:

from there select link:
