So, I had a problem and on your website I was advised to start in safe mode. After having done so I had to conclude that all my extensions had gone, plus all my sessions. God knows why, probably one of your many bugs. Anyhow, I could not solve the initial problem either, as it keeps happening, even with all extensions gone.

I have decided to leave Firefox, too many problems, so you do not have to answer this issue.

Bye!

Hi, which one of these were you taking information from that you decided you needed to start a new question ... https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/search/advanced?a=1&asked_by=Gijsbertus&sortby=1&w=2

When you are in Safe Mode your Extensions are disabled for trouble shooting As per ; *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

So what results did you determine as it seems your not running any Extensions. This is a little puzzling that you decided you needed to run Safe Mode.

Would you care to share what led you to this conclusion to run Safe Mode when it was not required and maybe not even asked for .....

So with this statement you have not made anything clear at all as to why you have decided to leave other than Safe Mode worked properly when not requested.

Oh, when get a chance please try to get better Video Card Drivers or work on them as there is errors : featureLog: {u'fallbacks': [], u'features': [{u'status': u'blocked', u'description': u'Compositing', u'log': [{u'status': u'blocked', u'message': u'Acceleration blocked by platform', u'type': u'default'}], u'name': u'HW_COMPOSITING'}, {u'status': u'unavailable', u'description': u'OpenGL Compositing', u'log': [{u'status': u'unavailable', u'message': u'Hardware compositing is disabled', u'type': u'default'}], u'name': u'OPENGL_COMPOSITING'}, {u'status': u'unavailable',

What specific problems did you have that you started Firefox in Safe Mode?

Starting Firefox in Safe Mode shouldn't have effect on the extensions. Only if you use Refresh feature in Firefox then a new profile is created and extensions are lost. In that case you can find the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop (~/Desktop) with your previous profile.

when you use the refresh feature in Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks and history, form data, tabs) is automatically imported. The current profile folder will be moved to an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.

It is possible to recover data from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
