Hi, what do you mean by "old entries"?

Most Firefox data -- such as history, bookmarks, saved logins -- is stored in a profile folder. More info: Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

On Windows 8.1, here's how you can find that:

First, set Windows to show hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2

Then explore up this path:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

That should lead you to one or more weirdly named folders which contain your browsing data and settings. But if you are done with Firefox on that computer, you can back up to the Mozilla folder and remove the whole Firefox folder.

Temporary files such as fragments of web pages are stored in a cache folder. To remove the temporary data related to your browsing, explore up this path:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Again, if you don't need Firefox on this computer any more, you can back up to the "Local" Mozilla folder and remove the whole Firefox folder.

For the Windows registry, you might need to do a search for Firefox. I don't have a list of the keys where Firefox adds values. That said, I don't think there is private information in there.
