The print page does not open when I attempt to print a Web page.

I have been using Firefox for many months and until now I have had no problems printing a Web page. I have been away for a week and discovered this problem yesterday when I attempted to print a Web page. Maybe there has been some change during the past week that I'm not aware of?

Does this happen on all sites or is it on particular sites?

Normally a button to launch a print-formatted page pops up in a new window. Firefox's built-in popup blocker allows popups generated by a user click, but if you have any security add-ons, perhaps one of them is blocking those.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
