Ever since I set up my Nexus 7 I've been getting emails on it but not into my Thunderbird inbox on my desktop PC. Why is this?
I have a Nexus 7 running Android version 4.4.2. I get emails from my gmail account on that with no problem but they don't come into my Thunderbird inbox on the desktop PC anymore and I'd like them to. I don't mind reading emails on the tablet but I'd rather reply on the desktop because I can actually type and the tablet keyboard is a pain.

If you want to access your account from several devices then I would use IMAP on all of them. That is what that protocol was developed for.

Do you have both the tablet and the PC setup as IMAP? If you have the tablet set to POP and to remove the messages from the server that is where your messages are going.
Actually, the tablet was IMAP and the desktop POP. I'm trying to address this at the moment. Thanks so much.
