I recently had to uninstall and reinstall firefox because I could not open it. Now all my websites and bookmarks are gone and I need to get them back. How?

I have lost all of my most visited websites, bookmarks, and all other data due to reinstalling firefox. I have some files in the Mozilla Firefox folder (C:\Program Files\(x86)\Mozilla Firefox) but none of them are able to be opened when I click Firefox>Bookmarks>Import and Backup>Backup. Is there any way to get all of my information back?

Did you remove your personal data when you uninstalled Firefox? Also, please note that for Firefox issues you don't have to re-install 90% of the time, but you can come here for any issues and we can help you solve your issues with Firefox in the future without having to lose your data.

My problem in the first place was that every time I clicked on Firefox to open it, It wouldn't open. So I used IObit Uninstaller to uninstall it. Then I went into IE and reinstalled the software. Now all of my bookmarks are gone and I don't know how to get them back. I do not know if I removed my personal data. I created a restore point before I uninstalled it but every time I go into settings and try to import those settings from the files that were left behind on my pc after uninstalling, none of them show up as a compatible file for what I am trying to do.

IOBit's software is worse than useless and shouldn't be used. Use Window's built in uninstaller for all install/uninstall processes

Firefox data is saved in your user files, which aren't saved via restore points, so if the information is not there (the article I linked to above would help you find it) then it looks like it was lost because iobit didn't give you an option to save your files. Unless you have a backup of your data somewhere.

You could try a file recovery system, but if you've made changse to your computer since uninstalling (like installing new software, restarting your machine even) it's most likely not going to work.
