Each time FF starts, I get the following message: "a script that is running has stopped or is unresponsive." the script is: resource://components/nsSessionStore.js:3801 Any ideas? This script slows FF start up. [email protected]

Chosen solution
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Hi tomjansen,
Have you looked at the Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it Knowledge Base article? There is a lot of information in there that might be useful.
Hopefully this helps!

Found no sessionstore files in Profile folder. Thanks anyway. Disabled all extentions, add-ons. etc. Still same prob. Can't find Webroot Spy Sweeper to disable. Prob. still: blank page for 20-30 seconds or more, then get error message about unresponsive script. Can either click on "Stop Script" or "Continue" to go on. The home page finally loads behind error screen but can't go on until one answer to error message is clicked on
