before recent updates, i could see my passwords on a sign in page for any website, by clicking tools>security>seepasswords. now the tools tab is gone. i used the help, and saw what your supposed to do, but the passwords are stored in files that can not be opened by windows! very frustrating i would almost prefer to roll back my versiion of firefox to be able to use this one feature! help!

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

I see that you have enabled SSL 2.0 and have disabled TLS 1.0

security.enable_ssl2 : true
security.enable_tls : false

Any particular reason for that setting?

You can check the ssl and tls prefs on the about:config page.

If any ssl or tls pref is bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose "Reset" to reset the pref to the default value.

Paste this regular expression in the Filter bar at the top:

  • /security.*ssl|security.*tls/

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

Most of them are ciphers that are used to contact via a secure HTTPS connection. Firefox allows to enable or disable individual ciphers if you do not want to use them and force others to use if possible.
