Thunderbird settings not retained after shutdown
I have a new iMac 2921 and have installed thunderbird and manually configured successfully. So initially all is well until I shut my iMac down when the thunderbird setting are not retained . So next time I boot up I have to go through the configuration exercise all over again. This is very tedious and obviously not right. Do you have an answer to this problem please ?
Thanks

Thanks for your interest. No I don't have any 'cleaner' and, in fact, TB is the only download/app I have installed as the iMac is only a few days old. HOWEVER...this morning I opened the TB app and amazingly it was working. Can't believe it so I'm crossing fingers that it remains stable.

This is usually because the TB icon hasn't been dragged to the Applications folder:

Unfortunately not. The icon is in the Applications folder but I am still having to re configure the setup.
Perhaps someone with TB in a Mac could throw some light on this. Thanks again
Do you have some kind of system utility that 'cleans up' app settings, such as CCleaner? They can erase TB settings if allowed to do so. Otherwise, follow the installation instructions to the letter.

If you do work out what the problem is, please post. I am getting very bored with downloading 20 years of emails every day
