When i try to edit the" top sites" it won't remove some of the ones I want to remove. How can I remove these?

There are some "top sites" I've tried to remove, using the edit button above them, but they won't remove. They just stay there. How do I remove these unwanted top sites?

Probably a rethorical question, but did you click 'Dismiss'  ?

"Dismiss" will get rid of the "Top Sites" that come with Firefox, such as Facebook, Amazon, YouTube, etc.,

But when it comes to websites that you have visited you might need to use "Delete from History" which would bring up "Are you sure you want to delete every instance of this page from your history? This action cannot be undone." IOW, it will wipe all history for that particular web page.
