Deleted bookmark appears as still bookmarked (can't delete)
I deleted a bookmark, both from history and from bookmarks, but as i Type the title orpart of the urlin the addressbar it keeps appearing as bookmarked. It has an "m." since it was added from a mobile platform, but the desktop turns it into "www.". So I added it with the "m." in the bookmarks, then deleted it, but nothing, it keeps showing up. There's no way I can delete it, I tried with add-ons disabled, I tried https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/ but nothing seems to work.
Chosen solution
I don't use Sync with my current phone, so I can't check this myself, but according to a thread from February, on the lower left side of the Library dialog there should be a Mobile Bookmarks category. Is the unwanted bookmark in there?

What you are looking at is the built-in form filler. When such selections show up as an option, STOP. Use the arrow keys to highlight that selection. Then press Delete.

I did this already, it didn't work. As I type in the address bar it keeps reappearing. Plus, it shows as starred, even though it isnot in bookmarks anymore (yes, I searched the bookmarks through the find tool)
EDIT: if I unselect "Bookmarks" from the "Location bar"section of the "Privacy option" it doesn't show up, so it's clearly still recognizedas bookmarked, but why? I even added and removed it again
Modified
That means it is bookmarked, even if you can't find it. Use that to open the page. Then pressing the star will open a small window showing that bookmark. Remove it from there.

I did it, doesn't work. If it's bookmarked why can't I find it?
I'm out of ideas.
Could you try searching in the Library dialog to see whether anything shows up there? You can launch that using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+b
- Bookmarks menu > Show All Bookmarks
There's a search box on the upper right where you can type a few characters (same as you typed into the address bar) to see whether anything shows up.
Another method for searching is to export your bookmarks to an HTML file, open that in a Firefox tab as a web page, then view its source (since the URLs usually are not visible on the page), and search in the source for part of the address.
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
- To open the source viewer on a page, either:
- Ctrl+u
- right-click a blank area of the page > View Page Source
- "3-bar" menu button > Developer > Page Source
- (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Page Source
Can you find it either way?

Either way, it's not there, no matter how I search it. But it's always there if I type address or title in the address bar

Would you mind losing all history, cookies, cached files, permissions, and other "site preferences" for the site? If not, you can try blasting out all aspects of what Firefox has saved for the site from your history.
Launch the Library dialog to History, either:
- Ctrl+Shift+h
- History > Show All History
Use the search box if necessary to bring any page from the site into view, preferably one on the bookmarked domain (starting with m.).
Then right-click that entry and choose Forget About This Site. Any bookmark for the site should be cleared along with the history items.

I did, but nothing happens. It's still there, not in the history though, because it goes away if I disable looking for bookmarks when typing in address bar, and it's starred.
Go to the site. That puts it into history Then open the History Manager and use Forget Site.
Do you have a live Sync connection to a device that has that bookmark?

Actually yes, that's strange, I removed it from the bookmarksof the smartphone andnow, on the smartphone only, if I type in the address bar it still shows up, but it's not bookmarked anymore, and it's not in the hostory as well, I wonder where it is saved (on the smartpone). On the desktop it's starred as before. I wonder if this can be some fancy setting in about:config, or ifit's related to the sync account. I usually transfer the home folder to avoid it syncing from scratch because it loses configurations for add-ons if synced from scratch,I would hate to set up sync again from scratch. There must be a solution somehow. I think you are getting close, man.

That was it. I don'tknowwhy, but the search bookmarksfunction on the desktop does not include mobile bookmarks, even though they are there, maybe because they are on the same directory level, anyway I looked by hand and eye, and deleted it from there. Problem solved. Thank you so much my friend :)
Glad you found it. The integration between desktop and mobile bookmarks isn't fully comfortable on either side. Not sure what the future holds along those lines.
