My client has Thunderbird 68.7 on a Windows 10 version 1903 computer. 2 weeks ago, he lost the ability to see the contents of any folder that was in his structure. Inbox, Archive, Sent and all of the ones he created appear to be empty. The right hand pane says 'nothing to display'. So, I right click on any folder, choose properties, and then 'repair folder'. The contents are then displayed. I move to the next folder and do the same thing, with the same results. However, if I go back to one of the folders that I have just 'repaired', it says that there is nothing to display. The repair function is only working as long as that folder has focus. I need to get all of his older emails that are in folders to display. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi There have been a few similar questions lately. One with symptoms very like your client - they had left a filter pinned and the filter hid the messages. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1282398 Then maybe not the same - but has been a common theme lately - maybe the global sqlite index needs rebuilding. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1277737 Few details there but you could search for other recent questions involving global sqlite for other symptoms where this was suggested.
