I am running with ubuntu 18.04.2 and thunderbird 60.6.1 (64-bit)

My filter settings: X manually run X getting new mail: filter after/before junk classification (tried both before and after) X match all of the following from is (address) X perform these actions: forward message to (address)

Here is my browser-console: https://pastebin.com/LLnHf9as

When filters manually run they work just fine but they do not automatically run

Thoughts?

My filters ran, for years, without a problem but - no more. I suspect something is not set properly but have no idea what.

re X match all of the following from is (address)

Try: assuming you only have one condition - one 'from' email address. X match all of the following 'from' and 'contains' and (email address)

Filters do not work automatically on the junk folder just the inbox. I wish it would work on the junk folder.

If pop then all incoming mail will be in server Inbox and download to pop Inbox. You would need to have the filter using 'filter before junk classification' so emails are caught before they are auto filtered into Junk.

Filters work in the order listed, so if you have other filters listed above that particular filter, then it is possible emails are moved/filtered prior to that particular filter being invoked.

If you have an imap account then it is possible the server is auto filtering emails into the server 'Spam/junk' folder. This means thunderbird will not auto filter anything that is not in the Inbox.
