When I go to a (any) website with Firefox v47.0 and try to save an image by right-clicking and opting for "Save Image As...", the Firefox download manager still allows me to select a folder on my hard drive and/or change the name of the image I want to save, but when I press the "save" button (options "save" or "cancel"), nothing happens. That is, the save/cancel box disappears, but the image is not actually saved.

This occurs since the automatic update to v47.0, on two different computers running Windows 7 64.

Thank you for your answer. I am afraid the picture is not in the computer, either in the save directory or anywhere else. It doesn't appear either when clicking on the arrow that shows the former downloads.

I am using Firefox since its inception and was using Netscape before that. Firefox behaviour has changed since v47, on two different computers I am using.

Thanks to another forum, I have found a workaround: create a new profile, copy all the files from my current profile's directory into the directory of this new one and use the latter.

But there is definitely something in v47 that triggered this odd behaviour and the need to "refresh" my profile.

Other than closing the message box, you would not see anything. The picture is already in the computer. Check your save directory.
