How do I add icon on home page for Outlook Express e-mails
I have just changed my browser from Internet Explorer to Firefox and in this process have lost the Mail icon on my home page that I could click on to go to my Outlook Express e-mails. I can only reach them at present on my Start menu. As I have no expertise can you please tell me in simple terms how I can add an icon that will enable me to access my e-mails directly?

pfff... its not a Firefox problem
Open My Computer
- go to C:\ drive
- open Program Files folder
- open Outlook Express folder
- right-click msimn.exe file -> click Send To and select Desktop (create shortcut)
Check and tell if its working.
Thank you for that but I may not have expressed my problem clearly. I have the shortcut on my desktop but that is not visible once I go to my home page or elsewhere on the net. With IE when on my home page I stiil had an icon at the top on which I would click to go straight to my e-mails. How do I restore this facility. I do apologise that I am a total dumbo in these matters. If you can help this idiot further it would be much appreciated.
Firefox doesn't have an icon to open an email client which is installed on the users PC, but there is an add-on to add that feature to Firefox.

Read the instructions on that page for setting it up with Outlook Express.
Use this add-on: Email This! 2.3.0
Check and tell if its working.
I am grateful for the answers given but do not seem any further forward. I know I am a total computer numpty but the answers given still leave me confused. All I want is an icon which I can click on to bring up my Outlokk Express e-mails. Everything to which I have been referred (g-mail etc) seems far too complicated and largely irrelevant Please can someone please give me simple ABC directions in plain non-technical language to achieve what I want and which I had before I switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. Help, please!

Just install any of the add-on(extension) mentioned in the previous 2 replies. Then you will have an icon to access your Outlook Express emails.
