How do I delete shopathome.com add-on?
They said to go to the Firefox symbol at the left of their tool bar and showed a picture. Then they said and showed where to click on their add-on and click on delete. The Firefox symbol is at the top left but not near the tool bar. I clicked on the Firefox symbol but I didn't find how to delete their shopathome.com tool bar. How do I do this? I know so little about computers especially this Windows 8.1 my family member bought me when my computer crashed that I loved and was use to. HELP!

To remove the Shop at Home extension from Firefox see this.

I'm sorry, but the information that you sent me was exactly the SAME that shopathome.com had sent me. It was, I believe, intentionally incorrect by them to keep aggravating me. They also seemed to be following me and stopping me from looking at other places to search for products and buying items on line yesterday through all night into today. I told them to leave me alone and quit following me. That survey as of theirs as to why I wanted to leave them was one I was very thorough with them and happy to complain about what all they did. I can't tell you how they were messing with my new high powered Gateway with Windows 8.1!!! I've Mozilla Foxfire 27, also. I'll be interested in seeing their reply! I had to go through "tools" and work my way through. Before that I was trying on and off all this time to ditch them for what they did to me in more ways than one. Thanks for trying. I prayed over my problem and it was solved despite my lack of computer knowledge surprisingly .
Have you tried checking for malware with adwcleaner or Avast's Browser Cleaner (free tools)?

Does this extension has a Remove button in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions?
Extensions that do not have a "Remove" button are installed by other software and are not under control of the Firefox extension manager.
Such globally installed extensions are usually found via a registry scan or are installed in a location that Firefox scans for installed extensions.
Extensions installed this way need to be removed via the settings (options/preferences) of the program that has added this extension or you need to uninstall this program via "Control Panel > Programs".
