Firefox Nightly crashes when opening it
After installing the past 2 nightly builds the application crashes hard when launched with a Windows exception error.
Firefox Nightly 6.0a1 4.26 (?) and 4/28 - both crash after installing from both the Updater & full installer. Buils 4/24 works perfectly.
Environment: Windows 7 SP1, x64 version ATI 5680 graphics card with latest drivers. Kaspersky, Comodo - both disabled.
Windows Error Report attached.

There have been a few reports of the 64 bit version crashing, see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2179163
It seems that there's other issues at stake here. I get this when trying the link you posted. Will try later. Thanks for the info!
Can't find any servers to help you The mozillazine servers seem to be on strike. The systems team is negotiating...
Please try again later
[this used to be the "drupal.org error"]
The mozillazine servers have been playing up for a while, if you try again in a few minutes you will probably get through.
My bad - its the 4/25 build - the 4/28 build isn't out yet. The updater reinstalled the 4/25 build after I installed the 4/24 build again. I confused the '5' for an '8'.
I've been very surprised since this is one of the few times that has happened, other the crashes with flash in minefield it's been solid. Someone fell asleep a the wheel with the latest build.
zzynko, nightly builds can become very unstable, it's all part of the development process. If you want stable versions you should stick to the official releases.
What's the fun on that, besides I like the nightly better.
Like stated in the Mozillazine thread, for the 4-26 build, anything newer than that will not start (nightly, hourly, any build). Window$ x64, SP1. Got chewed out on the forums for posting (the guy was in the wrong), so just making a note here. Tried with a fresh profile, finally, same thing. My Crash Reports InstallTimexxx log is 1 KB big & it only contains a number.
ps. Will not use a 32 bit build on a x64 system (because x86 is so stone-age :)), tnx..:)
Confirmed crashing on x64 build. Win7
The bug has been logged: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=652747 and believed to be fixed.
We're just waiting for it to be included in the nightly build.
Removing Comodo solved the problem for me, Nightly x64 works fine now.
Also the bug has been resolved..:)
Everything seems to be working now re. this issue in the nightly builds.
