What is absolute minimum specs and memory required to run modern Firefox editions?
I am currently running a Windows XP Service Pack 3 machine on 512 mb ram, and am perfectly happy with Firefox 28. But I have considered updating. However I'm not sure my machine can handle anything beyond version 28 and 29 (which I did not like and so reverted to 28 anyway) Is it worth trying to update, or should I stick with what I have?

Hello,
You can check the system requirements here:
It is highly recommended that you update to the latest Firefox to keep up to date with the security updates. Note that if you do not like the interface for Firefox 29+, there are extensions that can revert the theme to an interface you are more comfortable with.
- Use the Classic Theme Restorer to bring back the old design. Learn more here: How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox.

Right now only 32.0.3, the 31.1.1 ESR and also the 24.8.1 ESR which will end soon is up to date security wise. The above versions fixed a recent potentially critical vulnerability that affects some browsers including certain versions of Chrome. Yes the Firefox 28.0 is vulnerable.
