How do I have a crash report deleted?
Thunderbird apparently crashed just now (actually I x'd it out before it had fully opened) and a box popped up, at the bottom of which was a 'quit Thunderbird' button. It was just after I'd clicked this that I noticed it was a crash report submission form, and that the 'submit report' box was checked by default. I do not want to submit a crash report to Mozilla, as I cannot risk the privacy of the machine, and it was not caused by a software problem in any case. Can someone tell me how to have the report deleted?

Thunderbird by default submits crash reports to help them make Thunderbird more stable and secure. Crash Reports can be seen here: In thunderbird Help > Troubleshooting Information scroll down to 'Crash Reports' section click on 'All crash reports' to see list in a separate tab. You can remove them.
What is included in the Crash Reports: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/thunderbird/#crash-reporter
Crash report options enable/disable here: Menu icon > Options > Advanced > 'Data Choices' tab

Does removing the crash report in Thunderbird just remove it from my system, or does it remove it from public circulation as well?

It removes it from your system.
