Firefox hangs when moving a tab but only the first time I move once in a session.
Firefox always hangs for a few seconds after moving a tab or downloading something.
This only happens once per session and it's an either/or situation. Meaning, if I move a tab first, it will hang, but my 1st download will be fine. If I download something before moving a tab it will hang but then moving tabs will be fine.
After doing either one once, all subsequent downloads or tab moves are fine.
I would suspect it has something to do with the drawing of the interface because in both cases something new is happening at the top of the browser. This is just my uneducated guess based on similarities between the two issues.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

The problem is still there in safe mode.
Edit: It does seem less pronounced in safe mode but still there.

I don't think I'm able to do a screenshot. It's just Firefox freezing. There isn't anything to capture visually.
I'm just suggesting that moving a tab has some animation associated with it. Downloading a file has the little download arrow show up at the top. In both cases it's some kind of visual effects. Perhaps you should just ignore my conjecture. It might be misleading and only my lay-persons thoughts as to the connection between the two events.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?
