What's the sites so others can verify that problem?

Apparently, every sites. I mostly use facebook , youtube and twitch. Sorry if i didn't write the problem clear enough ,but what I mean by laggy is when I scroll or interact with anything on the site. (Sorry for my english tho)

Laggy can be also your system hardware CPU or GPU or iGPU that is slow to load graphics intensive sites as well and then translate to load issue on the Browser. So this can also be Hardware causing the lag itself and not the Browser.

Well, I guess that could be the problem ;( ,but the thing is the problem I have just pop up recently. I haven't had any of this lag before. Firefox worked just fine about 1 month ago.

Well, I've tried that. It didn't work for the first time ,but after you suggested it I did try it again and it works now somehow. Thanks!

Was this a problem with hardware acceleration (graphics display driver)?

I went to options > General > Scroll down to Performance > uncheck Use recommended performance settings. > Change process limit to 1 and it worked out just fine. I'm not really sure if this is gonna make my hardware work too hard or something. If someone could tell how changing the process limit will affect something that would be nice.

Oh, I forgot to mention that this problem only happen in Firefox. There isn't any lag when I watch videos in fullscreen on Google Chrome or Opera.

If your computer's system information shows more than 8 GB of RAM, you might want to try bumping up the number of content processes that Firefox uses from its default value. Additional content processes can improve performance when using multiple tabs, but will also use more memory.

Well guys, It appears that the method that I did is not working. However, it's getting bigger. Previously, like I said it only happened when I watch videos in Full Screen mode but right now it sometimes happen on every sites I go into. At first, I assume that it was only me but it happened with my brother's brand new laptop too. I'm so frustrated right now :(

Yes, hardware acceleration is enabled and about the content processes I've tried to change it and it's still laggy

Note that multiple content processes are merely to prevent crashes happening in one tab affecting other tabs that run in a different content process or taking the whole Firefox browser down in case multi-process is disabled. So you should see it as a safety feature. There is always an overhead involved with multiple processes (extra memory and CPU with more cores that can handle multiple processor threads more efficiently).

Firefox in Safe Mode - let's give it a try :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

If the above doesn't solve anything, then maybe you could try this :

Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar webgl

and look for the preference :

webgl.disabled

And set its value to true

Then close and restart Firefox.

Remember to change its value back, if this doesn't solve the problem.
