Can you analyze this firefox-unfriendly website ?
http://www.newantivir.com/firefox/?clickid=wKOJILQ8KM9KO3JAH9LU003Q&language=en
this site uses some very nasty tactics to get you to stay on the page (indicating a general weakness with firefox). can you allow an ordinary user to exit the page easily?

Not sure how to over ride the code they have on the site. Keep Alive.
It is also a Malware Site and would think they need that time to try and install https://www.virustotal.com/#/url/a8f2794c93a8726bd0c71bc66884dad6085b72a8a6f56372db814454190c7873/detection
I would suggest you do a scan for malware :

Found it : Copy/Paste into the Address Bar about:config then Enter Copy/Paste network.http.keep-alive into the top of the page search and wait. Change setting from 115 to 0
Note: Make sure remember what you have done as this is global in Firefox and not just the site. It is also just a work around and can still be over ridden.
network.http.keep-alive

You can try to press ESC a few times quickly in a row. Sometimes if also works if you click a cancel button with one hand and immediately or simultaneously press Ctrl+W to close the tab.
