Google+ transition for Youtube will not link.
Google has created Google+ to be linked with Youtube accounts and commentary. In order to link the two you are to make some changes to your Youtube account. While viewing a video the comment section appears that the user is not logged in. Upon clicking on the comment window a another window pops up in Mozilla Firefox which is blank and then it is closed. After this happens Google+ and Youtube commentary is still not linked. Clicking on the comments window again causes a blank window to pop up and then close.
I have also tried this under Internet Explorer and the linking process for Google+ to Youtube executed with no problem.

It turns out that Google has begun forcing you to accept 3rd party cookies. As a result, you need to go to:
Options > Privacy > History section > Exceptions > Add: "google.com"

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
- On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
- Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

Not fully resolved. Now I am able to reply and in choising I like it option, but I am still unable to start a new comment. :( what else have I to try?
Thanks for this. after a lot of nonsense of fiddling with extensions and add ons adding google.com to the exceptions list fixed the problem.
Why do these sites mess with stuff that wasn't broken in the first place?
Something else I discovered. I had previously updated from Version 24 to Version 25.
The next day I started Firefox and it would appear as a process in the task manager and active, but would not open a window. I tried to re-install version 25. Firefox loaded and operated once. It then would not start up after that. After another attempt I decided completely uninstall Firefox, and remove all personal data, cookies, passwords etc.
I reinstalled Firefox Version 25 once again. All has been fine since. I did not have to allow third party cookies or add google.com back. I think it was combination of things which may have included google and the Firefox upgrade.
