Newly installed Firefox and it doesn't boot up! Safe Mode works and I've tried the "Firefox crashes - Troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes" list of solutions to no avail. There is one add-on called HP Smart Web Printing 4.60 that is listed as incompatible with Firefox 37.0.1 which I deleted. Didn't work. I then disabled/ set to never activate all plug-ins listed. To no avail. Found out about Waterfox for 64 bit OS. That too crashed. I am out of options. What is going on?

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

Check for upgrades for all the above.

Also, post any other crash reports for the last few days.

I also took the liberty of running a reg cleaner and deleted one of the Windows Security updates that had caused problems, according to some articles I read.

Firefox still not working. I appreciate your help in this matter.
