CANNOT LOAD A WEB SITE

When I try to link to a web site I get a blank page. I can load the site with Windows IE. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to make certain that I have the latest, bug proof version (I'm using Windows 8). Occasionally I get the following message in lieu of the blank screen:

Request Entity Too Large The requested resource /online-community/forward/register.action does not allow request data with GET requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.

The associated web site is for AARP and the troublesome link is:

I had trouble also. Go to the sites main page and work your way from there.
