Need to access old Firefox Sync data
So my hard drive crashed. I now have a new hard drive with all my backed up data, and was expecting to be able to download all of my synced data for Firefox. Turned out I was wrong. Apparently I was supposed to know that there was a new sync system, and that I needed to go through this entire process to move my stuff to the new sync system. Now I have nothing running the old Firefox and my sync data is gone. Is there anybody that can help me?
Chosen solution
There might be a more official way, but just thinking about what would be expedient... You can get Firefox 28 from the following article, sync your stuff, convert your account, and then finally update to Firefox 29: Install an older version of Firefox.

How do I install the old firefox? I tried make but there was no makefile.
For Linux there are compiled tar.bz2 archives, so no need to compile from the source.
