Firefox has been freezing for about 30 seconds every five minutes (my cursor makes it look like it's loading something, but it never says what). I run Windows 7 and have Firefox 6.0. What's going on and how do I make it stop?

When it freezes, the cursor will go into "loading mode," and if I try to click on anything Firefox-related, the screen gets washed out like it usually does when I'm loading something. It stays that way for about 30 seconds, and then everything is fine for another 5 minutes or so. There is no warning of when it will happen. It has done this occasionally in the past, but never with this frequency. Everything else on my computer works fine when this happens--only Firefox freezes up.

I tried this today, and it is working now: Click Firefox > Options > Options > Advanced ... then Uncheck the option "Use hardware acceleration when available"

It is still doing it occasionally, but not every 5 minutes! Thanks for your help!
