How do I download the previous version of Firefox (3) as my system won't support Firefox 4 (can't find the older versions archives anywhere on your site).

I already had Firefox version 2 on my mac (OS 10.4) and tried to upgrade to version 4. Couldn't find any details on system requirements, so just went ahead and tried to download latest version. By the time the process informed me that it wouldn't work on my system, the old version 2 had somehow been deleted. Now I have no Firefox browser at all and cannot find any older versions archived.

I think you can run version 3.6: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older

I just read today about a separately maintained, unofficial version of Firefox for 10.4 users called TenFourFox. They are somehow repackaging the latest Firefox to work on 10.4 (on non-Intel Macs). You might want to research it and see whether it makes sense for you: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Thanks. I was able to load version 3.6--and didn't even have to find it on the Firefox site. My friend floated it from his laptop to mine on my flashdrive!
