Picture in picture
How did I lose the ability to click and drag the picture in picture window around? I can still resize it but can no longer move it around.

Hello..
The Picture-in-Picture feature allows you to pop out videos from a web page and watch them in a floating window while you browse to other tabs.
If you don’t want to see the controls while hovering, you can hide that option in Firefox. (Note: You can still turn on picture-in-picture view by right-clicking on a video.) Or you can use this to re-enable the control when you want to use it again.
- Click the menu button Fx57Menu and select Preferences.
- Scroll down to the Browsing section.
- Clear the check mark for “Enable picture-in-picture video controls”.

I don't have a problem with the controls. I want to move the floating window around my screen. I found a workaround, resizing it from the bottom and then again from the top effectively moves the window. Same side to side.
hii
You can resize the window by moving the mouse cursor over any part of the window border, not just the bottom corner. Press Alt+Space to bring up the window menu, press S to choose the Size option, use the arrow keys to resize the window, and lastly Enter to confirm. Click the Maximize button in the top right corner of the window. Click the title bar and drag the window to the left, top, or right edge of the desktop. For details, see Aero snap. Move the cursor over the top or bottom border of the window, until the cursor becomes a double-headed arrow, then double-click the left mouse button.
Nope, sorry, the doubleclick helps to move the window out of the way when needed but I used to be able to hold the left mouse button anywhere on the window and drag it anywhere on my screen. Is this still an option or was it patched out?

If it doesn't solved your question, then feel free to ask in Reply Section. Thanks for raising your question in Mozilla Support Forum.
This is not about the controls, but about not being able to drag the window to a different position on the screen.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
Shashank as stated before that is not my issue
cor-el I tried running safe mode and noticed no change. Was already running default theme. Deleted and reinstalled firefox and that also didn't change anything.
