Tried to connect to https://www.pcmag.com/review/355531/samsung-portable-ssd-t5

Get the Secure Connection Failed error:

An error occurred during a connection to www.pcmag.com. Peer received a valid certificate, but access was denied. Error code: SSL_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED_ALERT
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Restarting in safe mode does not fix the problem.

Changing security.tls.version.max and security.tls.version.min to 0 and restarting does not solve the problem.

It's been happening on various other valid pages also.

Firefox 56.0b2 (64-bit) for Windows.

I don't have any issues with that page.

Have you tried refreshing Firefox?

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

I have not tried resetting Firefox as I do not want to loose my extensions, settings, etc.

I might try that after I get a chance to back every thing up cleanly.

You can open firefox in safe mode or an empty profile without disturbing your current setup to test.

We can probably close this issue.

I did some more checking and it looks like something is broken at my ISP or access point, as the same issue occurs for other users here with different browsers.
