why do I get (PNG Image, 1x1 Pixels) with a gray screen when I click on video clip, image or link to website

more options

When I click on an image or a video clip or a link to another website from a webpage, a lot of times I get a dark gray screen with a tiny white dot in the center with (PNG Image 1x1 Pixels) showing as the title and I retry over and over and still no luck. Do you have any idea why I get this? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to help people like me. Thanks again [email address removed]

Do you use Kaspersky security software? It has a feature called Anti-Banner that does this, replacing something it thinks is annoying advertising with a dot. But it has an overly aggressive definition of unwanted content.

I don't know whether any other software that does.

On the other hand, if you were using right-click > View Image, this could indicate there was a transparent overlay designed to make it harder for you to copy the image the site wants to protection.
