- Pick a folder in which you want to create the new folder.
- Right-click it, select "New Subfolder". Sometimes it says "New Folder". It depends exactly where you do this.
- Give the new folder a useful name. Avoid using characters such as ?, *, / or \ in the name since these have special significance to computers.
When you have created your new folder, you can drag and drop messages into it. Select one or more messages, hold down the left mouse button and drag them onto the new folder's icon.
Alternatively, you can also do a right-click on your selected messages and use "move to…" or "copy to…" from the pop-up menu.
Some people are visual and like to see what they are doing; others prefer names and labels and so prefer to do it by giving the name of the folder. I'm the second type.
